NEMC Board Overview

The Board of Directors for the New England Muslim Center (NEMC), a learning Islamic center, is composed of a diverse group of dedicated individuals who bring a wide range of skills and experiences to their roles. The board includes converts to Islam, women, and men from various ethnic backgrounds, ensuring a broad representation of the community. Members of the board have a strong history of involvement in both community and educational initiatives, including leadership in college Muslim student associations, decades of service in Sunday schools at different Masajid, and active participation as parents and teachers. Their deep roots in the community and commitment to education position the NEMC for future growth and continued impact as a center for learning, spiritual development, and community engagement. With their collective expertise and vision, the board is laying the groundwork for the center to expand its offerings, potentially evolving into a full-fledged Islamic school that nurtures both academic excellence and Islamic values for future generations.

NEMC Teachers Overview

Our Arabic and Islamic teachers at the New England Muslim Center (NEMC) represent a rich tapestry of knowledge and dedication, collectively fostering a nurturing environment for spiritual and academic growth. Their backgrounds include extensive study in classical Arabic and Islamic sciences, coupled with significant practical experience in community education. These teachers have proven track records of inspiring students to deepen their understanding of the Quran, Hadith, and Fiqh, while also cultivating a strong connection to their faith. Their commitment extends beyond the classroom, engaging with students and families to provide guidance and support in their spiritual journeys. Br. Youssef Al Mansouri, a native of Al Mahalla, Egypt, is an esteemed graduate of the Azhari educational system and holds a formal Ijazah certification in Quranic Tajweed.

As a founding member of NEMC, Br. Youssef has been instrumental in developing the Quranic studies curriculum since the organization's inception.

Students find Br. Youssef to be truly inspiring and encouraging. He believes students learn best when they think critically about Islamic teachings and connect what they learn to their daily lives.

Br. Youssef shows students how Islam remains relevant today and pushes them to put their knowledge into practice in real situations.

Enas

Sister Enas is a Palestinian born and raised in Jordan. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Hashemite University. She has been involved with NEMC since its early beginnings.

With two years of experience teaching Arabic, Sister Enas has developed a genuine passion for educating young learners.

"My goal is to help students master the Arabic language so they can access Islamic knowledge directly from original sources without relying on translations. I am honored to accept this challenge! I strive to build a community of learners in a nurturing, positive, and fun environment."

Br. Sultan is a highly dedicated member of the community. He is always ready to help and provide those final touches that make a meaningful difference. He holds an Ijazah certification in Quranic Tajweed. He has been with NEMC since its beginning and was a founding member of the curriculum for the Quran program.

Br. Sultan believes in developing critical thinking skills and encouraging students to engage actively with Islamic teachings, helping them connect theory with practice. He emphasizes the relevance of Islam in today's society and motivates students to apply their religious knowledge to real-life situations.
